'Miniature Horse Show Jumping'
American Miniature Horses and Falabellas have simply AMAZING jumping ability and LOVE IT!!
Size for size they are the most agile jumpers in the horse world.
Both our Jack and Ella have cleared in excess of 42" which is 10" higher than their own height! This equates toa normal horse jumping 7 feet high which is MORE than they jump in the HOYS (Horse of the Year Show ) puissance competition that you see on television.
Because of the ability of these little horses there are competitions all over the country for jumping them 'in hand'.We say in hand as obviously they are far too small and lightweight for even the smallest child to ride and jump by sitting on their backs. It also means that ALL children can take part even if they have never sat on a horse!

All our horses have been taught to jump and will go over a variety of obstacles. When a party is booked that has a longer time scale we will often (if you wish) give you a short demonstration to show you what these dainty little horses can achieve .
We build a course for you which will change according to age of handlers and any experience that the party group may have.We will give each child instruction and the very youngest or more nerous children will have an adult to support them all the way round the course so no one need worry. Most children prefer to jump the jump with the horse but the horses are trained to jump on their own with the handler just holding the lead rein and the handler running to the side of the jump, the older children quickly get the hang of this.
Again the children choose just to have fun or make it into a competition. If a competition is required then adult 'cheer leaders'are essential and of course the children are rewarded with certificates in our prize giving ceremony.
There are always certificates for children who try the hardest and who have improved their handling skills the most (not just the winners ~ effort is always rewarded!)
